Satna selected as Smart city in 3rd round under Smart Cities Mission of Government of India(GoI). For the purpose of implementing the Smart Cities project, Satna Smart City Development Limited (SSCDL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) has been established as a public limited company under the Indian Companies Act 2013. Company incorporated on 20th October 2017. The Smart City Proposal (SCP) as approved by GoI includes Area-Based Development (ABD) and Pan-city proposals, total cost Rs 1530.74 crores. Out of this Rs 1171.41 crores is earmarked for ABD project and 285.64 crores for Pan City projects. ABD project is a Green field area whereby a new state of art city with smart infrastructure development and smart ICT based services is to be developed outside town approximately 7 k.m. from railway station. Under PAN city initiatives several ICT based smart solutions with smart features taken in and across pan-city in line with the SCM guidelines, improving the quality of life of the people.
